The laws formed on 17 November 1993 served as a milestone in
field of education.

King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals
King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) was
officially established by Royal Decree on 5 Jumada I, 1383 H. (23 September
1963). King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals is located in, Dhahran
34464, Saudi Arabia. The first students were admitted a year later, on 23
September 1964, when 67 young men enrolled in what was then the College of
Petroleum and Minerals (CPM). Since that time, the university enrollment has

King Khalid University
KKU is a Saudi government-funded University, established in
1419 H. President of this university is Abdulrahman Al Dawood .It is supervised
by the Ministry of Education - Higher Education. This is a

It was established in July 30, 1981. Umm Al-Qura University

it the first higher education institution in the country .During the first
decade of the fifteenth Higri century the Colleges of Da'wa (Call to Islam),

King Faisal University
This university was established in 1975. Its main campus is
located in Hofuf In Al-Hassa, Saudi Arabia. The idea of
establishing a university in the eastern region was originated by the
late King Faisal in 1974 (1394 AH). The then Crown Prince Fahd's efforts
brought into existence the King Faisal University. King Faisal University
has organized more than 66 conferences on national and international level. And
it has 4 colleges, two in Dammam and two are in Al-Ahsa. 32476 students are enrolled
in this university. A number of academic faculty members are 2,107. The first
campus is in Hofuf In Al-Hasa and it comprises the Faculties
of Agriculture, and Veterinary Medicine and Animal Resources. The second
campus is located in Dammam and consists of the Faculties of Medicine
and Medical Sciences (established with the educational co-operation of Harvard
University) and of Engineering. The campus at Al-Hasa now also caters
for female students of home economics, medicine and dentistry. Main goal of the
university is research in order to address the problems of people.
King Abdullah University Of Science and
Technology
KAUST is the first gender-mixed university in Saudi Arabia.
